Waking Reality
Although I have been told by a psychic that I was visited a lot when I was a child (only by friendly beings, as my energy apparently attracts a certain kind of friendly being from what she said), other than some of the "hidden" signs of having had contact--such as being afraid of closets, thinking people are watching you from your window etc. , I remember nothing specific. I hardly consider myelf alien-obsessed. In fact, I spend little time or effort on the subject other than sometimes letting my imagination consider the possibility. But I do that for almost everything that's cool or unusually exciting. I am very happy, I don't have nightmares. Perhaps what the psychic said was true, and that's why I don't worry about it, I don't know...but I don't worry at all... One night, however, really made me stop and think about it--sometime in 1994 or 1995, when my husband and I both experienced sleep paralysis at the same exact time. In my "dream", I remember having a telepathic conversation with an entity that seemed bright (lit up in some way), but I can't remember exactly what it looked like, just that it wanted me to go with it somewhere. I have had an out-of-body experience before and made contact with a human entity out-of-body, but I distinctly remember getting the impression in this instance that this being was not human. (Although I have had a lot of really weird psychic experiences, I really don't study this stuff--and couldn't tell you the first thing about the kinds of aliens that supposedly exist or whatever--although in putting together this web site, a Pleidian seems to fit the description of what I saw. I told it no, I didn't want to go with it, and had to insist this very firmly several times before I was able to break out out of the paralysis. I was fully cognizant and aware of the need to stay grounded in my own mental power the entire time it was going on, mainly because it took a decent amount of effort to counter the being's persistance and the paralysis at the same time. It didn't seem evil. Just urgent. Impolite more than threatening.Because it was so disrespectful of my space (ie the paralysis), I didn't want the interaction to continue. Rich and I were pretty freaked that something that weird had happened to both of us at the same time, although Rich remembers no conversation on his end, nor did he pick up mine. All he remembered was not being able to move...and breaking free at the same time I did. Rich had his own weird experience though on a different night, although I remember nothing from this particular evening. One night, he had a feeling that "someone was coming for me", so he got up and checked to see that all of the doors and windows to our apartment were locked. For me, the night passed as usual, for him, here's what happened: "It was a weekend morning, can't remember if it was Saturday, or Sunday. I awoke early 8:30 - 9:00 AM. I went over to my computer and logged onto the Internet, and did a little work. At around 10ish I started feeling sleepy so I walked over to the couch and laid down. I fell asleep shortly after that. Sometime later I awoke, but had sleep paralysis. I could not move and my eyelids only barely moved when I tried to open them. Through my almost shut eyelids I saw Caryn floating into the living room from the bedroom, then saw a large, round, happy, balding man wearing brown slacks and a button-down shirt sitting next to me on the couch. He smiled at me, and I was released from the sleep paralysis to find myself completely alone in the room. Rather than contemplating how odd this was and checking in on Caryn, I thought 'They'll take good care of her,' and laid back down and went back to sleep. I woke later when Caryn actually did come out to the living room. I immediately told her what had happened. I don't know what happened exactly--but it definitely was not a dream." To this day, neither of us is sure what happened. All we are sure of is that for a period of a week, we had sleep paralysis several of the seven nights, and nothing of this nature has happened before or since. What does this mean? Well, we're open to rational explanations as well as supernatural ones, we just don't see any. And my husband is an engineer--who has to analyze everything and is skeptical of EVERYTHING. But somehow it's different when it happens to you... NOTE: Since I originally wrote this, I have been contacted by some people who have had similiar experiences, were frightened by them, and were asking for advice on what they should do should something like this happen again. If this is why you came looking for this information, click "here" to see my advice to them, and hopefully, it will work for you as well.
