Caryn.com
- LA based actress Caryn Shalita has created an
impressive web site with links, advice, updates
on the industry, information on auditions, television
and films in production, casting agents, a mailing
list - as well as her own resume, photos, video
of her work, reviews and press on her as an actress
and on Caryn.com as a site and also book, cd and
video online stores. Everything you need on acting
as a career is on this site and the list is literally
endless.
Caryn
has produced a brilliant web site as the forum
to provide an amazing
resource
for all those actors out here, and to promote her own career. Clever use of javascript
and RealPlayer, along with clearly defined, easy to navigate and very interesting
sections make this site one to bookmark and revisit again and again. Drop by
and see her - this is one site definitely worth the visit. (Reviewed by

ON
THE WEB--- CARYN SHALITA
Following is the website of an actress living in LA who is interested
in working in
independent film. The site is a good example of what one can do to
promote their career
on the web. Be sure to visit the Independent Filmmaker Resource Center.

A
Question About Acting
The
English version of an interview I did for a Japanese-English
language publication
about the use of language in creating a role also did a site review--check
it out! (11/98)
(from
the Tombudsman column in the printed version (3/26/98)
"Speaking
of the Internet, I've received a few calls from
a Caryn Shalita telling me about the
actor's website she's designed. Tombudsman is usually loath to explore
yet another site, but
I eventually took her up on her offer and logged on. Simply put,
it's a fun site and it's free.
You'll find all kinds of neat information... I applaud anyone who
is trying to get pertinent info
out to working actors, and apparently there is a lot of it on her
site. I'll be keeping an eye on it!..."

Hey--the
Head Slacker thinks
I'm COOL!!
Richard
Burton (1925-1984) once said: "An actor is something
less than a man, while an actress is some-
thing more than a woman." Caryn Shalita has managed to build a website
that reiterates Mr.Burton's
quote. This talented actress' html skills are almost as delightful
as her acting. A particular delight is
the short movies of scenes she has performed called "Cold Readings." We
at C.O.O.L know that it is
only a matter of time when we'll see Ms. Shalita utter the phrase, "I'd
like to thank the Academy ..."
