He took his head out of the hole,
and had another think, and then he put it back, and said: "He has gone to see his friend Pooh Bear, who is a great friend of his." "But this is Me!" said Bear, very much surprised. "What sort of Me?" "Pooh Bear." "Are you sure?" said Rabbit, still more surprised. "Quite, quite sure," said Pooh. "Oh, well, then, come in."
It's hard for kids to figure out exactly Who's There inside of themselves, and to trust that that something is something special and worthwhile--and you know what? Many grownups spend the rest of their lives trying to come to terms with that issue too. Knowing Himself is Pooh's deepest strength, because not only does he always follow his inner instincts, which never steer him wrong, he does it above the noise of his friends who often try to talk him out of what he Knows. Tiggers can Bounce, that's a fact, and anyone who attempts to proclaim otherwise, or even tries to suggest that Tiggers don't exist, is just being Silly.
There will be lots of people in school and in the workplace who will try to make you feel that there is something wrong with you. That you don't know what you are talking about when you are Certain that you do. I'm not telling you not to Listen, for all good Bears listen Attentively or they would miss the buzzing of the bees on their way to make the Hunny. but when you Know Something from the deep part of your soul--never let anybody talk you out of it. If you act from truth, with good intentions and with instinct on your side, you will be most likely to find your way into the places where you'd like to be. And know that if the door doesn't open for you, it is not that there was something wrong with you, just that, chances are, what was behind that door wasn't what you thought is was and it would not, in fact, be the place you thought it would be at all. The Secret is to be Happy with Who you Are Right
Now. Not Fed Up with Who You Were, focused on who you Will
Be, or who you think you'd like to be, but Happy with the very
person who stares back at you in the mirror every morning. You
are the Best Bear in the World. It is up to you to realize
that and live as if you believe it. Pooh accepts himself --with
all his strengths and weakness, does not judge himself harshly
when he makes the inevitable mistakes that come as a part of living
and learning, and forgives others their mistakes as well. Can
you do the same?
