| Sci-fi/fantasy that's
kind of silly, but the Xanth series
offers over 20 fun ways to kill time on a rainy day, especially
if you are male and between the ages of 13 and 20, though
girls should not be scared away, as there is plenty there
for them to enjoy too, as I can vouch for, having been one
myself! I agree
with the criticisms of
his work, but I also watch talk shows and soaps because I
find amusement in them, and I don't think sci-fi has to be
earth-shatteringly profound to be enjoyable. Everyone
has his or her own opinions,
so who are we to nitpick or
cen-saur if some people are so devoted as to even be fans
of the deleted
chapters. With Piers, you can count on a good time exploring fabulous
places and enjoying delightful characters such as everyone's
favorite dragon Stanley
Steamer and the Good
Magician Humfrey. A good time, light
reads, and fantasy-filled worlds where magic is
of paramount importance... (the other 2 series I've
listed are written more for adults and
I think show he has a little more depth than some give him
credit for) Besides, he's hip enough to run his own official
web site, and I don't think I've ever seen an author
show more caring and respect for his fans, so cut the guy
some slack... |
