OK, so some of you may be wondering how a girl who has a religious approach to life that is probably best described as part Jewish spiritualist and part Buddhist gravitated toward making a Christmas site. Although I never celebrated Christmas at home as my family tradition, I did have some wonderful holidays over at friends' houses with their families who were thoughtful and generous enough to leave presents for me under the tree, so that I, like the other kids, could experience waking up to an exciting Christmas morning just like everyone else, or, more honestly, sparing me the disappointment of being the one person not included in the special morning ritual. In the process of showing so much consideration for my feelings, I have to think that these parents proved themselves true purveyors of the spirit of Christmas, since by example, they taught their children the lessons of generousity and inclusiveness. So it is that despite my lack of ability to quote carol lyrics from memory , non-existent visits from Santa, my never having received gifts of hard-as-rock fruit cakes and my one sole appearance at a candlelit mass, I have always and will continue to support the ideals that govern Christmas. That Peace on Earth is not a forgotten dream. That kindness and generousity toward one's fellow human beings are ideals that should be celebrated. Which brings us to Caryn's Christmas Cheer, now in its eighth year, and better than ever. This site has been the recipient of numerous accolades and has been enjoyed by thousands upon thousands of people from around the world united to experience the Joy that is the Season. We know we've saved some people from some Christmas Party dilemmas, because we've seen the letters. And thanks to people doing their Christmas Shopping with us, and utilizing our Click-to-Donate (For Free) section of the site , we have raised money for some worthy causes. Not bad for one little web site. To that end, in the spirit of what Christmas can and should be about--on and off the web... Here is my Christmas site for you to enjoy. Home | Other
