Looking at Filmmakers from the Film Finance Side

As an actor who has also sat in on casting director sessions as a reader, I know how helpful & informative it can be to experience a situation from a different than usual perspective. When you are asking for an arts grant, or for someone to finance your film, you need to know how they frame things in their world, in order for you to structure a proposal that will appeal to them and make them want to give you their money. Above all, my experience has taught me that passion and belief in your vision goes a long, long way, and ultimately it is that which will infect all around and get people really behind a project. But the numbers have to work, and the project needs to make sense on paper too. So here are some links to help you put some method around your madness.
