June 2004

Well, I know I'm pretty much insane for trying to grow this in Southern CA, but I have one little plant in a pot that does alright, given the completely wrong climate. I love fresh blueberries, but I do not love snow, unless I'm on a ski slope, so you'll probably never catch me living in the right climate to grow them, since most of those places have this thing called winter. So Oregon, New Zealand and Chili still supply most of my needs, and this plant is just a little fun experiment that yields some delicious berries, even though the yield is nowhere near what I was familiar with from childhood experiences on the East Coast.
