Day
Lily Bud Saute
Sauté the garlic in a small amount of olive
oil.
Beat
eggs and mix enough flour in to make a thin batter.
Add
the sautéed
garlic, 1/8 tsp. each of salt and pepper, and the dash of nutmeg.
(Add
a tsp. of milk if the batter is too thick.)
Dip
the buds in the batter. then sauté until
golden brown.

Ingredients
2 dozen daylily buds,
base cut off
1/4
c. olive oil
1/2
cup flour or matza meal 3
eggs (just whites OK too)
dash of nutmeg salt
and pepper
I clove garlic, finely minced
NOTE:
Always use flowers when freshest, and be sure you're getting
them from an organic source so you're not ingesting pesticides.
